Northrop Grumman is looking to fill a Field Technician 3 position to join our talented team based in Palmdale!

The selected individual will join a small team with different and complementary specialty skills to learn and execute repairs or modifications to aerospace systems at the development location in order to execute them in the field. Must be proficient in reading and following technical manuals, or repair manuals. Must be able to communicate effectively with design engineers and work closely with other aerospace specialties when learning and testing the functionality of new repair procedures or processes.

Expected to be part of a team that develops installation procedures, steps and redlines drawings for newly designed parts or components. Once the newly designed part or component is ready to be installed on operational assets, the selected individual will be expected to accompany the retrofit and modification team to the field where they will execute the install or repair and provide training or instructions to available technicians for follow on maintenance when required. The candidate must have a deep and diverse mechanical background in aviation systems and sub-systems. The amount of time spent in the field is expected to change with the amount of system modifications or repairs executed.

The candidate must be accepting of an erratic travel schedule, willing to travel overseas to potentially remote locations on short notice. The candidate must have the ability to meet government requirements to deploy, which currently includes fully vaccinated status.

Basic Qualifications:

- High School Diploma or equivalent with 4 years of relevant experience

- Knowledge of aviation systems and sub-systems

- Active DoD Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain and maintain PAR (program access) within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs. PAR required on Day 1.

- Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.

Salary Range: 59400 - 99000

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
