Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking an experienced Executive Assistant to the Vice President & General Manager Air Dominance (VPGM). This position is located in Palmdale, California.

As a valued team member, the Executive Assistant is in the center of day-to-day operations for the division headquarters and will be welcomed into a team environment where contributions, growth and mutual support is the standard. The Executive Assistant supports the VPGM and coordinates engagements across the division leadership and executive support teams to support division objectives.  The selected candidate must demonstrate organizational skills, self-motivation, and have an ownership mindset with the ability to accomplish high-impact duties in time sensitive, dynamic environment.  This position may often require occasional nonstandard work hours to support division priorities. 

Duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Performing complex administrative assignments that support the division’s battle rhythm.
  • Maintaining a welcoming environment and provide high touch support to executives, functional and program leaders, and employees at all levels when representing the VPGM’s office.
  • Helping the division VPGM manage and prioritize calendar of division meetings, and participation in division and sector meetings or events, anticipate schedule challenges and proactively address conflicts to enable seamless integration of day-to-day operations.
  • Completing travel arrangements and ensure that all travel expenses are appropriately expensed.
  • Juggling multiple complex assignments that require strong time management and project management skills, emotional intelligence, political savviness, discretion and integrity.
  • Working with sensitive information necessitating tact, good judgement and problem-solving skills while maintaining the highest levels of confidentiality. 
  • Working in a high energy, collaborative, diverse, professional teams to complete a wide variety of tasks independently with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrate focus when operating in a fast-moving environment and managing information flow in a timely and accurate manner. 

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma and a minimum of six years additional education and/or experience in the administrative professional field or a bachelor’s degree with two years' experience in the administrative professional field.
  • Computer skills required include advanced expertise in Microsoft Office software (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, and Teams), SharePoint and intranet/internet proficiency.
  • Must have experience with travel and expense reporting systems (Concur or similar, ITRIP)
  • Ability to efficiently coordinate Outlook calendar and other routinely used scheduling tools.
  • Prior experience coordinating both on and off-site meetings and/or events.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to swiftly adapt to new tools/technologies
  • Experience participating and hosting in-person and remote Video Teleconference meetings (i.e., Zoom, Skype, Teams, etc.)
  • Must have the ability to independently compile and generate reports/presentations.
  • Experience writing, proofreading and correcting documents.
  • Expert level proficiency with oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interface with executive level contacts with considerable autonomy.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple administrative projects and initiatives; experience in supporting a variety of executive levels, management level and administrative support within an organization.

Salary Range: $73,200 USD - $122,000 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
