Northrop Grumman Business Management is seeking a Level 1 or Level 2 Budget Analyst to support the Survivability Engineering Directorate. This position will be located on site in Palmdale, CA with partial remote work available.

This position will work closely with the Mission Engineering Business Management team to meet the goals and objectives of the organization.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Overseeing and coordinating all aspects of Functional Business Management for an organization of approximately 200 employees
  • Indirect expense planning and monitoring
  • Direct allocations
  • Capital and NCTA budgeting/tracking
  • Time charging and compliance policy guidance
  • Personnel forecasting
  • Support and monitoring of aircraft service center
  • Support of integration and test operations and resource requirements

This requisition may be filled as either a Level 1 Associate Budget Analyst or a Level 2 Budget Analyst.

Basic Qualifications for a Level 1 Budget Analyst:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills (Formula creation, macros, Vlookup/Hlookups etc.)
  • Tableau skills
  • Solid oral and written communication skills
  • Requires some out-of-state travel <5%

Basic Qualifications for a Level 2 Budget Analyst:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration with 3 years of relevant experience OR a Master's Degree with 1 year of relevant experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills (Formula creation, macros, Vlookup/Hlookups etc.)
  • Tableau skills
  • Solid oral and written communication skills
  • Requires some out-of-state travel <5%

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of SAP/Business Warehouse (BW)
  • Highly organized
  • Knowledge of financial reporting and accounting principles
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively participate on team projects

The Ideal candidate must be self-motivated and have strong interpersonal skills. Oral and written communication skills are very important factors to the successful execution of job responsibilities. Successful candidate will need strong technical (e.g. Excel, and PowerPoint), analytical and organizational skills, and will need to feel confident interfacing with all levels of management (Director, Center Managers, Department Managers, Section Managers, Technical Staff).

Salary Range: $51,200 USD - $76,800 USD
Salary Range 2: $61,900 USD - $92,900 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
