Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

Job Description:
  • Plans, implements, tests, documents, and maintains solutions for the integration of subsystems and/or systems.
  • Establishes functional and technical specifications and standards, Identifies hardware/software interface problems, including input/output parameters, and ensures integration of the entire system or subsystem.
  • Reviews, evaluates and derives requirements for testability, develops and directs preparation and execution of comprehensive integration plans, and schedules for complete systems and/or subsystems.
  • Coordinates subsystem and/or system testing activities with programs and other organizations.
  • Create a test results database from the various system level tests. This database will support the system capability analysis, data correlation and requirements verification.  Provide project planning support (schedule, supplier interface) for near term mitigation and long term resolution to meet program capability requirements within the program constraints of schedule and budget.

  • Writes discrepancy reports and performs integration regression testing to verify/validate incorporated fixes to subsystems and systems.

Basic Qualifications Principal Project Engineer (Integrator):

  • Bachelor Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 5 or more years of STEM related engineering experience; OR Master Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 3 or more years of STEM related engineering experience; PhD in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 1 or more years of STEM related engineering experience
  • Active TS Clearance required; OR DoE equivalent (required to be considered)
  • Experience in troubleshooting of small to large scale infrastructure
  • Some Project Engineering experience
  • Some Earned Value/Cost Account Management experience (Tools, Metric Reporting,

  • Active TS Clearance required; OR DoE equivalent (required to be considered)
  • Experience in troubleshooting of small to large scale infrastructure
  • Some Project Engineering experience
  • Some Earned Value/Cost Account Management experience (Tools, Metric Reporting, 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Holds ATDC Program access
  • Able to cooperatively develop integration plans/procedures from sources such as functional/performance requirements and stated technical capabilities, monitor the integration of the test resources, execute these detailed integration procedures, analyze integration results, and present the results orally and in written format.
  • Should have either knowledge of or practical experience with industry or DoD test methodologies and terminology
  • Should have knowledge of Cost Account Management practices and execution
  • Work Package Manager for SOW
  • Contract deliverable milestones and dates
  • Self-starter with good communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills and an ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment

Salary Range: $101,400 USD - $152,200 USD
Salary Range 2: $125,800 USD - $188,600 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
