Northrop Grumman is seeking an Associate Maintenance Trainer to join the Defense Systems Program. This position will be in Palmdale CA. The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Special Programs under the Logistics and Modernization Division.

Basic Qualifications:

A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:

  • Be completing or has completed their degree (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD) from an accredited institution  
  • Be majoring in or having majored in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree
  • Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 or higher (unofficial academic transcripts must be provided at time of application by uploading the documents to your application or profile)
  • Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)
  • Be majoring in Education program or related discipline
  • Ability to negotiate and integrate different viewpoints, relay and receive information and collaborate in a team environment.
  • Ability to query authors for clarity and compliance purposes and must be skilled in Microsoft Word, MS excel, and PowerPoint (for the purpose of editing electronically).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Captivate, Advance Training Management System (ATMS), Evolution Learning Content Management System (LCMS) and Learning Management System (LMS) or similar training development software, and an ability to swiftly learn and become proficient with related software used for training development, project tracking, and presentations.
  • Ability to research engineering data, technical manuals, and utilize subject matter experts, team members, and established processes to complete complex training materials, schedules, and related projects under very general supervision.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3.7 cumulative GPA or higher

Salary Range:

$51,200 to 76,800



Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
