Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Supply Chain Logistics Specialist (Level 1 or 2) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position is for the Purchasing Department within Packaging, Handling, Shipping & Transportation and will be located in Palmdale, California.

The standard work schedule is a 4/10 B (Tuesday - Friday). The selected candidate may be required to work after-hours and weekends based on program need.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the purchase, receipt, delivery and inspection of incoming material, central stores/warehousing of program and/or company-acquired material and packaging and shipping services.
  • Provides packaging engineering support, special container design, packaging estimates and format quotes.
  • Ensures the retention of material and supplies for future use and in support of production and/or engineering.
  • Responsible for the accountability and accuracy of physical records.
  • Provides transportation of material and correspondence within the local Northrop Grumman business environment.
  • Maintains functional records in support of internal and external audits to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Manages, develops or carries out delivery in accordance with local established business policies, procedures and public law.
  • Ensures accuracy of delivery information.
  • Ensures: finished goods inventories, non-proprietary government property inventory, transportation, import/export requirements, and customer returns in conjunction with business area personnel.

Basic Qualifications (Level 1):

  • Bachelor’s Degree or a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 4 years of experience. Experience should be within supply chain, logistics, business management, procurement, or similar industry experience.
  • Must have 1 year experience with logistics and goods movement

Basic Qualifications (Level 2):

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 3 years of experience, Master’s degree and 1 year experience, or a high school diploma (or equivalent) with 7 years of experience. Experience should be within supply chain, logistics, business management, procurement, or similar industry experience.
  • Must have 1 year experience with logistics and goods movement

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word & Excel
  • General understanding of continuous process improvement
  • Aerospace/Defense experience
  • Prior experience in procurement

Salary Range: $51,200 USD - $76,800 USD
Salary Range 2: $61,900 USD - $92,900 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
