Northrop Grumman Aeronautics is looking for a Supply Chain Manager 2 – 2nd Shift (3/10 Friday - Sunday) at our Palmdale Center of Excellence located in Palmdale, California.

The selected candidate will manage all aspects of the Shipping and Receiving operations supporting multiple programs. Candidate must have experience working in a dynamic fast paced production environment and have the ability to respond to requests during off-shift hours.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for the direct supervision of both salaried exempt and non-exempt employees
  • Responsible for providing objective-oriented direction to subordinates utilizing management guidelines and general policies
  • Advises Leadership of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials, and services are provided as needed
  • Coordinates interdepartmental activity with Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Engineering, Warehousing, Traffic, Procurement, etc…
  • Responsible for meeting direct budget targets, writing/updating work instructions, providing performance metrics and make recommendations to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency of operations

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years’ experience in Global Supply Chain management with a Bachelor's degree; 3+ years with a Master's degree; 9 years of experience in lieu of a degree
  • Prior experience leading a team/process/project
  • Working Knowledge of an MRP/ERP system
  • Ability to work a 3/10 schedule, 2nd Shift - Friday- Sunday
  • Active DoD secret security clearance and the ability to obtain and maintain special program access

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field
  • Ability to deal effectively with competing priorities and deadlines, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment while demonstrating a professional attitude.
  • Working Knowledge of SAP

Salary range: $118,600 - $178,000

Salary Range: $118,600 USD - $178,000 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
