Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Production Planner 4 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Palmdale, California.

  • 2nd shift, 4/10s schedule Monday – Thursday
  • Position is onsite, unable to accommodate a telecommute/hybrid schedule.

The Production Planner 4 will operate as the Manufacturing Operations Specialist on the team and is responsible for the successful execution of the B-2 Depot & Modifications center process.

Essential Functions:

  • Work with the Industrial Engineering team, Air Vehicle Manager and the Manufacturing organization to determine best course of action for mission success.
  • Develop upcoming work plans based on critical path requirement
  • Alleviate production constraints as they arise through the daily maintenance issues
  • Train the workforce, as required, based on lack of knowledge and/or new processes.
  • Assist in re-writing planning in MES, as required, to better direct employees to perform the execution of their job duties.

The candidate should be the PDM process expert and be willing and able to assist with any constraint resolution effort that may arise, to include working on aircraft when needed. The candidate should also be able to sequence fabrication, assembly, installation, and other manufacturing operations relating to specific portion of the product for guidance of production workers.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent and 6 years additional education and/or related experience
  • Active DOD Secret Clearance (to apply/start) with the ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (after starting).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current Special Program Access Clearance
  • Experience on the B-2

Salary Range: $70,700 USD - $117,800 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
