Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for an Administrative Assistant 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Palmdale, CA.

The successful candidate must be a team player, possess effective communication and excellent interpersonal skills and be able to demonstrate mature leadership capabilities. He/she must be proactive, well-organized, and dependable. The position requires a high degree of professionalism, flexibility, judgment, and the ability to multitask and work independently.

Specific duties and responsibilities include the following:
  • Proactively managing leadership team calendars and addressing calendar conflicts
  • Answering incoming calls and responding to general requests
  • Scheduling meetings and arranging conference rooms
  • Making travel arrangements and processing expense reports
  • Establishing relationships and collaborating with administrative professionals and others in multiple organizations
  • Organizing and arranging events including catering, audio/video, and other essential services as needed
  • Creating, editing and updating presentations and documents
  • Developing and maintaining organization charts
  • Ordering office supplies, computers, and telephones
  • Assisting in maintaining organization's collaboration sites
  • Setting up and maintaining files
  • Answering questions relating to office operations and established policies and procedures

Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma/GED and 2 years administrative assistant experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Current and active DoD Secret security clearance
