Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Specification Writer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Palmdale, CA.  Essential Functions:
  • Prepares technical specifications from engineering change notices, customer specifications, and/or published data sheets. 
  • Maintains customer specifications files; reviews customer drawings and data; translates customer language into standard procedures and product flow.
  • Full Considerable knowledge of the job. Complete acquaintance with and understanding of the general and detailed aspects of the job, and their practical applications to problems and situations ordinarily encountered.
  • Limited supervision. No instructions needed on routine work, and general instructions given on new lines of work or special assignments.
  • Duties & tasks are varied and moderately complex. Resolves most questions and problems, and refers complex questions to higher levels.
  • Contacts are frequent with individuals representing other departments, and/or representing outside organizations. Contacts involve obtaining or providing information or data on matters of moderate importance to the function of the department or which may be of sensitive nature



Basic Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent and 4 year’s additional education and/or related experience.
  • Experience and comfortability with technical writing.
  • Ability to get DoD Secret clearance and secure program access.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Writing or related fields
  • DoD Secret Security Clearance
