As we continue to build our workforce, we look for people that exemplify our core values, leadership characteristics, and approach to innovation.   The qualified Manager Aircraft Maintenance 1 will direct the day to day execution of aircraft maintenance supporting the flight and ground test operations. The Manager Aircraft Maintenance 1 will report to the BAMS-D Maintenance Manager.  This position requires travel 50% of the time to OCONUS site in support of the customer.   Additional responsibilities include:
  • Supervising the maintenance team in a variety of maintenance and technical support and services of the Broad Area Maritime Surveillance-Demonstrator (BAMS-D) Air Vehicle as the Maintenance Team Lead
  • Maintenance to include AVIONICS, ELECTRICAL, AIRFRAME, AND ENGINE systems, equipment, integrated systems and subsystems, at various customer and/or field locations
  • Supporting testing, exercises, and operations at CONUS/OCONUS locations
  • Troubleshooting and diagnosing malfunctions to eliminate problems in minimum time
  • Installing upgrades and removing products ensuring coordinative engineering field changes
  • Performing maintenance, disassembly, rework, repair, replacement, re-assembly, or adjustment of various vehicle systems in accordance with technical specifications, engineering instructions
  • Ensuring the air vehicles are maintained in accordance with SpecView and Ground Operating Procedures to support ground and flight schedule
  • Experience leading a large team while working in a dynamic environment
  • Demonstrating initiative and willingness to solve problems with long-term solutions
  • Use outstanding people management and interpersonal skills
  • Tracking and implementing employee training

Basic Qualifications:
  • Aircraft Avionics, Mechanical and Electrical experience required.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) and six (6) plus years of relevant experience. Years of experience may be substituted for the education requirement.
  • Maintenance management  supervisor experience
  • DOD Secret Clearance, or higher, required to start.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • RQ-4A Global Hawk and US Navy aircraft maintenance experience.
