Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Sentinel AVE SEI Deputy Manager 3. This position is located in Roy, UT and supports the Sentinel program.

What You’ll Get To Do.
As Sr. Manager reporting to Aerospace Vehicle Equipment (AVE) Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) Director, you will be responsible for providing execution leadership for the planning and performance of systems engineering activities at the AVE segment level of integration. You will be responsible for the oversight and on-schedule development of systems engineering products as the primary backup to the AVE SE&I Director. You will be expected to manage day to day operations of the AVE SE&I team which consists of the following suballocated organizations: Modeling Simulation and Analysis (MS&A) organization, Mechanical Design Integration (MDI), Electrical Design Integration (EDI), and Requirements/Verification, Interfaces and Architecture (RIA). In this position, the Deputy Lead must understand the detailed program roadmap to major program events and the responsibilities of the AVE SE&I team to meet event and contractual criteria.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline with 8 years related experience or Masters Degree in STEM and 6 years related experience.
A minimum 3 years in a formal management position leading a team of engineers (20+ personnel)
3 years of experience in Systems Engineering
Demonstrated experience as team lead
Demonstrated experience in Control Account Management (CAM)
Experience in milestone planning and execution to completion (e.g. Critical Design Reviews, Test Readiness Reviews, etc.)
Experience as an Engineering Leader in all phases of acquisition, design, integration, and execution. Candidate will require ability to rapidly assess and lend guidance to projects assigned to the organizational group as well as demonstrated mentoring and guidance to engineers.
Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with the ability to obtain a U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Ability to lead a team of approximately 80+ engineers
Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to brief Segment, Program, and Customer leadership
Experience leading interdisciplinary, major program event efforts on defense or aerospace programs
Experience working across multiple functional organizations (Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Field Operations, etc.).
Experience in technical leadership, systems engineering, and design integration
Experience with ICBM programs
Extensive MBSE experience (3+ years)
Active Sentinel special access clearance (PAR)
Experience with complex system development on large programs
Experience in system sell-off and delivery to the customer
Active TS Clearance and Special Program Access
