Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems Sector is seeking a Business Manager 2 to lead the Business Management team for Air Dominance Growth – Emerging Pursuits in Redondo Beach, CA.   The selected candidate will report directly to the Director of Business Management for Air Dominance Growth with dotted-line reporting to the Program Manager. 

Essential Functions:

  • Leads and integrates the business management team (Contracts, Pricing, Cost and Schedule Management) responsible for capturing and executing contracts in the portfolio.
  • Partners with functional leaders to build and lead a team of highly motivated and effective business management professionals.
  • Manages contract and discretionary investment baselining and cost and schedule performance.  Ensures compliant use of discretionary investment dollars.
  • Interfaces with customer leadership on contract execution (CDRL submittals, funding requirements, invoicing, etc.)
  • Manages financial performance.  Partners with Finance to build the AOP/LRSP.  Supports development of the monthly forecast.  Partners with the program manager to ensure the program meets its financial commitments.
  • Works closely with leadership to successfully propose and capture new business within the portfolio.  Leads business case modeling activities for new pursuits.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university and 9+ years of experience in Business Management or a related field OR Master’s degree from an accredited university with 7+ years of experience in Business Management or a related field.
  • Active secret clearance with the ability to obtain a top secret clearance.
  • Prior experience with DOD prime contracts.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated understanding of cost and schedule management and contract management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active top secret clearance.

Salary Range: $118,600 USD - $178,000 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
