Northrop Grumman Strategic Space Systems Division (SSSD) has an opening for a Staff Technical PLM Software Migration Lead to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position is located in Redondo Beach, CA.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop migration strategy for NG Space’s divisions, business units, and programs from current PLM solutions to Northrop Grumman’s Next Generation Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)
  • Develop funding and budget estimates and NG Space and division investment requirements for successful migration to NGPLM
  • Responsible for oversight and execution of migration strategy, resources, and budget for NG Space’s transition to NGPLM. This includes integration with cross functional disciplines to include executive leadership, digital engineering, and business management.
  • This position regularly interfaces with senior leadership across the NG Space Sector.
  • Maintain migration project metrics using Agile framework.
  • Consolidate inputs for communications and reporting.
  • Reviews, analyzes, manages, and prepares documents and data for migration projects; relevant areas include: budget, schedule, and status reporting; documents/data creation includes, but is not limited to: PowerPoint slides, meeting agendas, detailed/accurate, meeting minutes, reports, etc.
  • Proactively assesses/identifies project issues and develop solutions/resolution actions to meet schedule, productivity, quality, and Digital Transformation-aligned goals and objectives
  • Develops mechanisms and processes to monitor project progress, intervention and problem solving actions for Digital Transformation leads, project managers, functional managers, and program stakeholders
  • Assesses project issues and works with appropriate parties to develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and Digital Transformation goals and objectives
  • Manages, and utilizes MS Project, Integrated Master Schedules (IMS); assertively promote adherence to each project’s IMS with an Agile framework
  • Performs CAM duties; understands variance analysis on cost and schedule reports
  • Supports yearly budget planning activities as needed
  • Provides Clear concise communications to stakeholders and executive leadership
     

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor of Science in STEM with 14 years’ experience or Master of Science in STEM with 12 years' experience or Ph.D. in STEM with 9 years of experience.
  • Demonstrate experience in technical project management skills, including project planning, cost account management, project prioritization, long-range business planning, staff planning, and RIO (risk, issue, and opportunity) impact analysis 
  • Ability to obtain and maintain SCI and DoD Top Secret Clearance
     

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Azure DevOps (ADO) or Jira
  • Experience managing software development projects, preferably Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) projects
  • Experience in electronics or hardware design and development projects
  • Experience using Teamcenter to support product development or supporting Teamcenter based migrations

Salary Range: $156,000 USD - $234,000 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
