The Electronics & Payloads engineering directorate has an opening for a Manager 3 Agile Execution Lead to join our team of highly qualified and diverse individuals. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, California.

The Agile Execution Lead will:

  • Serve as an organizational lead who demonstrably improves affordability and agility across electronic and antenna units developed for various mission classes

  • Conduct targeted investigations of cost & schedule drivers across non-recurring and recurring engineering activities

  • Develop specific affordability initiatives with clear opportunity for cost & schedule reduction

  • Proactively influence program start-up to shape requirements with affordability in mind

  • Collaborate across multiple operating and business units to identify synergistic opportunities

  • Partner with enabling functions in global supply chain, manufacturing, and mission assurance to identify and mitigate bottlenecks

  • Monitor and assess metrics reflecting cost & schedule performance by engineering organizations

  • Coordinate and communicate affordability best practices across functions and programs

Basic Qualifications

  • B.S. in STEM discipline from an ABET accredited institution with nine (9) years of engineering professional experience; OR M.S degree in STEM discipline from an ABET accredited institution with seven (7) years of engineering professional experience; OR PhD in STEM technical discipline from an ABET accredited institution with four (4) years of engineering professional experience

  • Two (2) years of management experience

  • Experience with manufacturing of electromechanical or electronic products

  • Candidate must have, and be able to maintain, at least ONE of the following U.S. Government security clearances:

Dept of Defense Top Secret level with a background investigation date within 6 years, OR SCI access with a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) completed within the last 5 years,

OR a Department of Energy Q clearance with a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) completed within 5 years

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Lean-Agile practices

  • Experience with manufacturing of high reliability space products

  • Experience reducing time to market for new product development

  • Experience reducing product cost on a recurring basis

Salary Range: $171,000 USD - $256,400 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
