Northrop Grumman Space Systems – System Operations has an opening for a Logistics Engineer to join our qualified and diverse team. The candidate will be responsible for logistics planning and execution in support of critical program milestone activities.  Each subject milestone activity involves >100 multi-government/multi-contractor personnel across multiple remote sites requiring travel and food logistical support in leadership, planning, and execution.

Logistics Engineer responsibilities include:

  • Analyzes campaign schedule requirements to determine travel, food, supplies, and admin support provisioning plans

  • Coordinating food providers (Aramark, outside catering) and proper expense processing

  • Managing facility resources and maintaining security records

  • Managing and participating with a team of part-time admins in support of training and execution events

  • Making travel arrangements (BCD, Concur) for large teams, as necessary

  • Ordering supplies by utilizing iBuy in support of our milestone activities and facilities needs

  • Developing processes that make system ops supply chain & logistics more efficient and organized

  • Some occasional weekend/night shift work required

Position is high visibility on a fast-paced program that requires excellent communication skills, leadership skills, the ability to multi-task and prioritize objectives to meet aggressive schedules.  Position also requires interfacing with upper level management and customers.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 2+ years of engineering experience OR Master’s Degree in a STEM discipline

  • Knowledge of Aramark food ordering and Concur expensing for outside catering expense reporting

  • Knowledge of travel arrangements and expensing using BCD and ConcurExperience with MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook)

  • Active SSBI

Salary Range: $61,900 USD - $92,900 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
