SSSD has an opening for a Systems Engineering Manager 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, CA.

This manager will support the ARIS Responsive Missons (RM) and Mission Technology & Applications (MTA) Directors with logistics and oversight to enable program leadership to achieve operational excellence with a focus on managing RM and MTA NCTA, support to multiple I&G OU captures and programs, and oversight of key program enabling functions such as security and facilities.  The Operations Deputy is directly responsible for managing an integrated NCTA package of approximately $20M spanning two directorates.

NCTA management duties will include: Managing the processes to support end-to-end NCTA planning with the thrust leads within the directorates; collaborating with Business Management to develop processes and templates for regular reporting; collaborating with the CAMs to layout cost and schedule plans for managing NCTA spending; serving as a review authority for NCTA status and liens; assisting with EAC planning; and working with the Directors to evaluate NCTA progress and make decisions on strategy and  reprioritization of spend plans within and across Campaigns to support changing business priorities.  

Operations duties include: Oversight of all RM and MTA staffing needs, security needs, facilities planning over 2 campaign directorates; collaborating with the Campaign teams and Functional Homerooms to develop job requisitions, review candidates, coordinate interviews, and fill all staffing needs; ensure clearance processing for team members; ensure issues are elevated to Security Review Board as needed; develop strategic staffing plans inclusive of team growth across NCTA, CRAD, and contract efforts; collaborate with ARIS Operations Director to allocate office space; maintain all team office plans.  

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 9+ years of engineering experience OR
- Master’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 7+ years of engineering experience OR
- PhD in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 4+ years of engineering experience
- Experience working with and presenting to program, capture, and functional executive leadership.  
- Knowledge in EVMS
- Experience working with Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
- Candidate must have, and be able to maintain, an active SCI clearance

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience and background knowledge of the ARIS BUs heritage technical areas is highly desired in order the effectively perform duties related to NCTA technology development and planning.

Salary Range: $156,000 USD - $234,000 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
