SSSD has an opening for a Cyber Compliance Analyst Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, California.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Essential Function:

Cyber Compliance Analyst Engineer will be responsible in maintaining lab computers and tools making sure they meet security control compliance. This also includes maintaining compliant documents such that it can be audited at a later time as proof that the correct level of security is being enforced. Additional job duties,

  • Monitor computer networks and systems for threats and security breaches.

  • Install, alter, and update security software.

  • Test systems for potential vulnerabilities.

  • Prepare reports on security incidents and changing responses.

  • Maintain security plans for annual approval.

Basic Qualification:

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science or an educational equivalent with 3 to 4 years of experience.

  • Experience in working with information security or other relevant work experience.

  • Knowledge of penetration testing, network security, and the techniques used to expose and correct security flaws.

  • A broad understanding of security technologies including antivirus software, and system patches.

  • The ability to identify and spotlight vulnerabilities, correct problems, and prevent security breaches.

  • Responsibility and conscientiousness, including proper management of patches to defray business impact while keeping security protocols up-to-date.

  • The ability to think critically and innovatively about the security solutions that can keep data safe while still allowing a business to flourish.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret/SCI clearance.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Active Secret/SCI Clearance


Salary Range: $74,900 USD - $112,300 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
