Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking an Associate Engineer Mechanical or Engineer Mechanical to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, CA.
 
In this role you will:
 
Support the structural design activities with focus on metallic structures.
Execute engineering design projects on schedule (BTPs, Mod Drawings, Production).
Support the creation of reports to document findings of projects.
This individual will utilize 3D CAD using CATIA V5 to support design tasks.
The candidate should also have an understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles 

This position can be filled at the Associate Engineer Mechanical or Engineer Mechanical level 

Basic Qualifications for Associate Mechanical Design Engineer:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited university with 0 years of professional engineering experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Powerpoint, Outlook)
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.

Basic Qualifications for Mechanical Design Engineer:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited university with 2 years of professional engineering experience, or Master of Science in Engineering from an accredited university with 0 years of professional engineering experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Powerpoint, Outlook)
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management.
  • Experience with industry standard design tools and processes including 3D parametric modeling software.
  • Experience with commercial or military aircraft.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience with CATIA V5
  • Prior experience with Teamcenter Product Data Manager
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Aerospace, Civil, or General Engineering.
  • Familiarity with Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) is advantageous.
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance

Salary Range: $61,900 USD - $92,900 USD
Salary Range 2: $74,900 USD - $112,300 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
