Northrop Grumman Strategic Space Systems Division (SSSD) has an opening for a Consulting Facilities Engineer (Senior Project Manager) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, California.

As Consulting Facilities Engineer, you will report to the Facilities Operations Director.  You will be responsible for monitoring and improving the performance and deliverables of the Facilities organization, including Strategy, Planning, Project Execution, Maintenance, and Reliability/Engineering.  Assignments will focus on compliance, training and process improvement opportunities for all aspects of the organization.  You will also be responsible for ensuring stakeholder engagement and communication and developing facilities forecasts and operational budgets.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree with 20 years of experience; Master’s Degree with 18 years of experience, or 15 + years of experience with a PhD

  • Well-rounded facilities experience, including one or more of the following: contract management, maintenance and development of both long-term site strategies and tactical planning and execution

  • Experience with reactive and/or predictive maintenance, reliability analysis or engineering

  • Track record of managing multiple and/or simultaneous projects

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret/SCI Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Has developed and implemented long-term site strategies

  • Experience coordinating with local, state and federal government agencies

  • Understanding of sustainability objectives and energy conservation

  • Knowledge of environmental regulations

  • Ability to obtain a DoD/SCI clearance


Salary Range: $174,900 USD - $262,300 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
