Northrop Grumman is seeking Civil/Structural/Mechanical/Electrical Engineers to join the Strategic Space Systems Division Operations Team. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, CA

The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Space Park Projects Engineering and Construction Department (Under Site Operations – Facilities).

The selected candidate will work in a dynamic team based environment, managing design, construction, and stakeholder interfaces.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Gather and verify requirements gathered from internal and external stakeholders 

  • Plan execution schedules, develop cost models, and analyze/quantify risks to execution 

  • Define, procure, and review design services 

  • Develop contracting strategy, procure general contractor services, and manage construction   

  • Oversee commissioning, handover, and financial close out activities  

Basic Qualifications

  • A Bachelors degree in Civil/Structural/Mechanical/Electrical (or similar) Engineering with 0 years of experience

  • Experience in construction

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in construction management and/or supervision

  • Have achieved an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 or higher

  • Previous internship/co-op or other work experience, leadership & teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular).

  • Good presentation and writing/communication skills.

  • Self-motivated, willing to learn, and interested in working in a team environment.

  • Experience in developing and delivering presentations and leading small groups. 

  • Experience in working in an autonomous work environment


Salary Range: $61,900 USD - $92,900 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
