As a Talent Acquisition Sourcer at Northrop Grumman, you will directly impact the quality of candidates we hire by sourcing and prescreening top quality talent in the marketplace. This opportunity will be based in Redondo Beach CA.  Will consider a hybrid remote working scenario, within commutable distance of our Redondo Beach CA, facility.

The successful candidate will be responsible for using their professional experience and network to source candidates for requisitions as well as pipeline talent.  This individual will work closely with client-facing recruiters and hiring managers to understand the hiring needs and build a targeted sourcing plan.  This position will target engineering-based talent supporting our Strategy Space Systems Division (SSSD).

Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Researching market conditions and industry trends as it relates to our competitors to assist in decision-making and marketing positions.
  • Utilizing professional networks to source candidates for active requisitions.
  • Sourcing candidates from a variety of sources, with a strong emphasis on LinkedIn, Entelo, Hiretual,,, social media, and search engines (Google Chrome, Google X-ray, advanced Boolean searching strings and niche job boards).
  • Using social networking mediums (i.e. LinkedIn groups and other online forums) to promote employment brand messaging that drives traffic to open roles by establishing and promoting positive relationships.
  • Utilizing Avature CRM to track day-today sourcing activity and the Workday candidate management systems.
  • Supporting events-based sourcing, focused invitational events, and targeted career fairs.
  • Attracting highly cleared talent to the company and have a knowledge base of security clearance.
  • Ensuring data integrity of the candidate management database.
  • Extensive data mining of various social media to identify candidate profiles.
  • Supporting the recruiting team throughout the recruiting process.
  • Conducting phone screens to pre-qualify qualified candidates and maintaining candidate contact.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of sourcing and/or recruiting experience – OR – a Master’s degree with 3+ year of sourcing and/or recruiting experience.  An additional four years’ experience accepted in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience sourcing technical talent across various disciplines (Engineering, Quality Assurance, Mission Assurance and a broad range of Facilities talent).
  • Active in the social digital and recruitment arena.
  • Ability to define and implement research and sourcing strategies for critical positions.
  • Industry knowledge with the ability to understand relevant skills, target companies and user groups.
  • Experience sourcing using LinkedIn Recruiter, Clearancejobs and other similar/related sourcing tools.
  • Ability for occasional domestic travel to assist with events and in support of the business.
  • US Citizenship required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Aerospace/defense industry recruiting experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Experience with Avature, Workday and M365 or comparable enterprise systems

Salary Range: $83,800 USD - $125,800 USD

Salary Range: $76,200 USD - $125,800 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
