Software Development Analyst (Microelectronics)

Northrop Grumman’s Enterprise Services organization is seeking a Software Development Analyst at its Redondo Beach, CA location.  The qualified applicant will perform software development and integration tasks as a member of Northrop Grumman IT Solutions, providing systems support of the NG Aerospace Systems' Microelectronics Wafer Fabrication production line.

This position can be hired as a Software Development Analyst or a Principal Software Development Analyst, depending upon experience and education.

The majority of the software applications are in-house developed and leverage a variety of technologies, including but not limited to: Web Application Development (HTML, Java, JavaScript, PHP, ProC, Perl, Visual Basic), Oracle DB, PL/SQL, SQL Server, MS Access, Tomcat and Apache web servers.

The candidate will be part of a team of software developers reporting directly to the Enterprise Services Program Manager (ESPM) for the Microelectronics business area at the Redondo Beach NG Space Park facility.

The qualified applicant will perform software development and maintenance tasks as a member of Software Development team, providing system support for engineering/MES tools and R&D activities.

Work assignments require the candidate to interface directly with Space Systems business partners along with other stakeholders. He/she will participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle.

Position responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Directly supporting resolution of all software related problems within the Microelectronics production line for the individual's area of responsibility

• Gathering requirements for engineering and manufacturing software support needs from business partners

• Performing various software engineering tasks involved in the entire SW development life cycle from requirements analysis up to software maintenance.

• Supporting strategic planning of software tool usage through process development, automation and technology

• Participating in routine maintenance of applications and infrastructure(apply and test patches, maintain app account/passwords, address server and application vulnerabilities, support power outages, facilities moves and other off-shift maintenance activities, etc.)

• Supporting various enterprise initiatives and technology and data center uplifts.

Basic Qualifications for Level 2: Software Development Analyst

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or relevant discipline, and 2 years of related IT professional experience; 0 Years of experience with a Master’s degree.

• Demonstrated software development/software engineering experience in a production environment

• Prior Oracle 12C and above database experience, Oracle PL/SQL including packages, procedure and functions

• Proven background as a Web Application Developer performing embedded SQL Programing

• Ability to provide occasional after-hours and weekend support as needed.

• US Citizenship is required for this position

Basic Qualifications for Level3 : Principal Software Development Analyst

•  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or relevant discipline, and 5 years of related IT professional experience; 3 years of experience with a Master’s degree.

• Demonstrated software development/software engineering experience in a production environment

• Prior Oracle 12C and above database experience, Oracle PL/SQL including packages, procedure and functions

• Proven background as a Web Application Developer performing embedded SQL Programing

• Ability to provide occasional after-hours and weekend support as needed.

• US Citizenship is required for this position

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with Apache web server and application container (Tomcat)

• Experience supporting microelectronics semiconductor areas for both production and R&D activities

• Ability to work well in a teaming environment and with diverse range of customers

• Ability to adjust to a fast paced, rapidly changing environment

• Possess a strong curiosity for learning emerging new technologies in the customer domain

Salary Range: $101,400 USD - $152,200 USD

Salary Range 2: $82,400 USD - $123,600 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
