Northrop Grumman’s Strategic Space Systems Division (SSSD) is currently seeking a Senior Principal Government Compliance Analyst at our Redondo Beach, Ca location.  This position will report to the Budgeting Manager under the Business Management Controller’s Office.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Assist in preparing annual Incurred Cost Submission, including all main schedules and supporting data/supplemental schedules
  • Assist in gathering relevant information/data, coordinating, supporting, and reviewing audit responses to the Defense Contract Audit Agency & Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCMA/DCAA)
  • Assist with negotiations of forward pricing cost rate agreements and/or incurred cost determinations
  • Assist in preparation of general dollar magnitude and/or cost impact proposals
  • Assist in “what-if” analysis for potential cost accounting structure and/or business environment changes
  • Assist in review of business systems compliance
  • Assist Rate Segments (self-assessments, analysis, compliance strategy development, and Corrective Action Request (CAR) and Control Account Plan)
  • Assist with Defense Contract Audit Agency & Defense Contract Management Agency (DCAA/DCMA) Liaison Support
  • Help to execute the Business System Surveillance Plan by performing substantive testing in accordance with the Business System Surveillance Plan.
  • Help document Deficiencies in Internal Corrective Action Reports (ICARs)
  • Assist Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) segment business system owners in dispositioning ICARs
  • Work with system owners to ensure that required improvements are completed
  • Assist with the maintenance of the Sector Compliance Technical Manual and Associated Procedures

RELOCATION PACKAGE AVAILABLE

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
  • 10 years of directly applicable experience in auditing, accounting and compliance OR; a Master’s Degree and 8 years of stated experience
  • Demonstrated understanding of U.S. Government regulations, including Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with auditors
  • Requires strong Microsoft aptitude especially with Excel and PowerPoint
  • Advanced Degree and/or CPA
  • Aerospace/Defense Industry Experience
  • Knowledge of compliance with DFARS Business Systems

Salary Range: $103,900 USD - $155,900 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
