Northrop Grumman, Strategic Space Systems Division, has an opening for Project Management to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, California.

  

Northrop Grumman Space Systems – Parts Management team has an opening for a Parts Execution Driver to join our qualified and diverse team. The selected candidate will interface with integrated program teams and design engineers to prioritize critical hardware requirements and meet schedule.  Evaluate opportunities and best cadence for combining optimal lot buys within Enterprise Resource Planning system. Review the forecasted system demand, create consolidated Bill of Material (BOM), manage part numbers and quantities, collate/parse, and prioritize the data.

Support material sell-off and perform Inter-Contract Material Transfer (ICMT) requests. Work closely with Parts Management team to ensure that all critical components are added to the Program Approved Parts List (PAPL) prior to the purchase order release. Will require working with cross-functional teams, and multiple internal and external stakeholders to drive closure of exception or hold reports to ensure that parts are kitted on time.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assists with developing process and structure of parts tracking and execution, and facilitates process change

• Directly involved in software tool development, and/or work closely with tool developers to support and aid the forecasting/tracking of day-to-day management of parts status, supplier issues, and other open actions that require attention

• Responsible for communicating process and process changes to impacted stakeholders

• Responsible for interfacing with integrated program teams and design engineers to understand the part need dates and prioritize

• Responsible for tracking aging issues and coordinating with proper functions to drive issues to closure

• Advises Leadership of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials, and services are provided as needed

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree plus 3 years of experience in Manufacturing Operations, Project Management, Parts Material Acquisition Support or Material Requirements Planning OR High School Diploma/G.E.D plus 7 years of experience in Manufacturing Operations, Project Management, Parts Material Acquisition Support or Material Requirements Planning.  

• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Outlook) skills

• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance OR SCI access

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Project Management or Engineering

• Data analysis and problem solving skills

• APICS Certification

• Experience with Scheduling, SAP, ERP or MRP systems

• Experience in managing manufacturing processes, productivity, capacity and efficiency measurements

• Experience in Aerospace or Defense Industry

• Active DoD Top Secret clearance OR SCI access

Salary Range: $68,100 USD - $102,100 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
