Explore your future and launch your career today.   Northrop Grumman Space Systems has an opening for a Systems Engineer, Staff - TT&C Thread Lead to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, CA.   The selected candidate will develop Telemetry, Tracking and Command (TT&C) operations concepts including system states, modes and data flows, perform TT&C system requirements allocations to subsystems/units, perform architecture trades, incorporate external interfaces such as the AFSCN, and develop prototype C2 segment control interfaces to the prototype payload and bus interfaces.  Tasks also include verification plan development, risk reduction demonstration development and I&T planning.   LosAngelesSpace

Basic Qualifications:


  - Bachelor's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline from an ABET accredited university with 14+ years of experience in Systems Engineering OR - Master's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline from an ABET accredited university with 12+ years of experience in Systems Engineering OR - PhD in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline from an ABET accredited university with 9+ years of experience in Systems Engineering   Candidate must have, and be able to maintain, at least ONE of the following active U.S. Government security clearances: - Dept. of Defense Secret level with a background investigation date within 10 years OR - Dept. of Energy L clearance with a background investigation date within 10 years     Preferred Qualifications   - Academic background in Electrical Engineering - Expertise in system TT&C - Experience in all phases of systems development from requirements development to on-orbit operations
