  Northrop Grumman Space Systems has an opening for a 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician 2 (Carpentry, Structural, and Paint)  to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, CA.   In this role you will:
  • Perform repairs and maintenance in plant or office facilities, specifically in carpentry, structural, and painting. 
  • Read/work from blueprints, drawings, sketches, specifications, or oral instructions. 
  • Conducts routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities. 
  • Uses a variety of hand/power tools, and shop equipment.

Basic Qualifications: 
  • Minimum HS Diploma/GED with 2 years related experience or additional education/training
  • Ability to read/work from blueprints, drawings, sketches, specifications, or oral instructions. 
  • Experience working with hand/power tools and shop equipment
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: 
    • carpentry (rough and or finish), furniture repair
    • drywall installation and repair
    • painting and striping
    • asphalt and concrete patch and repair
    • installation and repair of door hardware
    • Boom lift, Forklift and Scissor Lift experience
    • Pallet Jack (Manual and Motorized)
  • Ability to work from heights (ladders, scaffold or lifts)
  • Ability and willingness to work 2nd shift
  • Able to obtain and maintain up to TS/SCI DoD Clearance

  • Active Clearance
