Explore your future and launch your career today.   Northrop Grumman Space Systems has an opening for a Computer Systems Analysis Manager 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, CA.   The BSI team bridges the gap between the business side of operations (day to day system users) and the Information Technology (IT) department. The team also manages the sector’s current and future portfolio of IT projects which includes budgets, schedules, and risk management. The ideal candidate must be able to effectively communicate technical principles, theories, and concepts as well as develop innovative solutions to technical issues; demonstrate exceptional customer support skills; work well in a team environment and be able to complete assignments with minimal management supervision; effectively manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment; and be able to learn new computer applications.   In this role you will:
  • Manage a team of 8 – 10 direct reports who supporting the Space shop floor and manufacturing quality systems
  • Fulfilling functional manager roles to help foster and maintain high levels of engagement among their own team
  • Performing functional manager roles and responsibilities (i.e. staffing, recruiting, timecard approval, performance reviews, etc.)
  • Support Career Development of current talent among team members
  • Gather, analyze and document user requirements, procedures, and/or problems to improve existing systems
  • Collaborate with business partners to develop solutions and correct system deficiencies
  • Test solutions to ensure optimal system functionality
  • Monitor integrated system interfaces for errors and address as necessary
  • Draft & publish instructional materials and provide system training
  • Supporting Business functions needs and managing resources to support small to large scale system implementations

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree with five (5) years experience in manufacturing, quality or business process related role
  • Two (2) years’ experience in a lead or supervisory role
  • Experience in one or more of the following systems/processes: Solumina, SAP, ERP, project implementation, and/or large scale system implementation
  • Demonstrated ability to read, interpret/understand, and communicate technical documentation and relay both written and orally to diverse stakeholders
  • Willing and able to occasionally work outside of normal business hours (including weekends) if necessary
  • Able to obtain and maintain a DoD Government clearance up to SCI Clearance w/ Polygraph

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Shop floor and manufacturing quality business process experience
  • Demonstrated understanding of hardware and software requirements, design, development and testing of system integration
  • Experience leading or supporting IT related system stand-up project
  • Active (in-scope) DoD Secret level Security Clearance and/or SCI w/Polygraph
