Join the Space revolution and make the impossible, possible. Northrop Grumman SSSD has an opening for a Data Analytics Manager 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, CA. As manager of Data Analytics, you will lead and plan the activities of a team that develops, transforms, and models data and/or data based systems to provide insights, enable decision making and improve performance.  You will lead a high performing, high visibility team that will design visualization and systems for consumption of analytical results and transforms raw data into actionable information. Essential Functions:
  • Identify, communicate, and quantify opportunities for leveraging analytics solutions and applying data analytics.
  • Act as liaison with decision makers by providing data-informed strategic direction, and as a liaison with subject matter experts to obtain data sets and set expectations for potential of data analytics.
  • Optimizes organization's data collection, management, and utilization strategy.
  • Communicates the potential impact of analyses and applicable data privacy policies, procedures, and regulation.
  • Lead a high performing team, responsible for performance reviews, career development, and staffing

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in STEM field from an accredited program and a minimum of 5 years experience within a relevant field/discipline
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Government Security Clearance
  • 2 years demonstrated experience working within and leading cross functional teams
  • Experience working within an Agile framework
  • Experience facilitating and participating in process improvement effort
  • Ability to use data analytics to identify and communicate process opportunities
  • Able to collaborate in a team environment
  • Able to prepare and analyze data and figures

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience as Agile Scrum Master
  • Ability to communication orally and verbally to various leadership levels
  • Broad, enterprise-wide view and understanding of strategy, processes and capabilities, enabling technologies, and governance
  • Understanding of hierarchical and sequential process modeling concepts/techniques
  • Experience working within the Aerospace industy 
  • Ability to make decisions that impact the organization’s credibility, operations and services
