Northrop Grumman Strategic Space Systems Division  is seeking a highly qualified, mission oriented Configuration Data Management Controller 3 located in Redondo Beach with responsibilities including but not limited to the following:
Coordinate with Transportation for MGSE/EGSE and Flight Hardware moves. Handle shipping and receiving of small items to and from offsite work locations. Ensure all property is properly updated using NG Property system for all moves. Status, Receive, inventory and track all Flight hardware required for the Manufacture & Test Operations floor. Maintain consumable inventory. Review engineering documentation, reports, specifications, and drawings to determine material requirements, ensure compliance with engineering specifications, and to ensure engineering orders reflect latest requirements. Analyze proposed changes in product design to determine effect on documents such as drawings, test specifications, manuals, and ensures all documents have required approvals. Notifies appropriate departments of any new or updated requirements. Maintains audit trails. Support audits. Second shift and overtime work required. Possible offsite travel.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma Required.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience with Inventory handling /Hardware Management.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications: 
  • Assetsmart Experience
  • SAP Experience
  • Warehouse Experience
  • Ability to read blue prints (Engineering Drawings)
  • Experienced in handling space flight hardware
  • Familiarity with Mechanical Engineering, Assembly and Test Operations
  • Certified forklift operator
  • Understanding of inventory and kitting processes
