Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking Principal Data Scientist. This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Sentinel program.
What You’ll Get To Do:
Work with a team of talented professionals passionate about the work they do. Engage with teams across the program to understand their analytics and data modeling requirements. Help architect and build data export, transform, and load (ETL) pipelines connected to multiple program ASoTs. Develop and publish Tableau server dashboards and visualizations used to inform individuals and leaders across the program. Apply state of the art data science approaches to develop analytical solutions providing program insights.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
Job Qualifications:
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
- 5 Years with Bachelors degree; 3 Years with Masters; 0 Years with PhD; or 04 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- Active DoD Secret clearance with a re-investigation date occurring in the last 06 years.
- US Citizenship and ability to obtain Special Program Access.
- Proven record of working with customers to understand their questions and providing actionable analytics in response.
- Experience using Tableau as an analytics presentation tool.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
- Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Engineering.
- Experience executing analytics ranging from descriptive to prescriptive.
- A background in statistical analysis or machine learning (LLMs, deep learning, Bayesian inference).
- Ability to design and build ETL pipelines (python, SSIS) .
- Understanding of both relational and graph databases (SQL and Neo4j).
- Experience working in AWS or other cloud-based software architecture
