Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking Data Visualization Engineer / Principal Data Visualization Engineer. This position will be located in Roy, Utah or Huntsville, Alabama and will support the Sentinel program.
What You’ll Get To Do:
Develop data visualizations using Tableau leveraging best practices in data science and user interface / user experience design, document assumptions of algorithms and data taxonomy for the purpose of describing authenticity of data visualization trends and forecasts, forecast and trend data elements in order for users to be able to avoid future problems, utilize data reduction and data summarization techniques and leveraging graphical expressions in order to describe underlying principles within the data, work with Data Integration and Analytics technical lead to develop and grown understanding of standards and best practices within the DIA team and Sentinel program as a whole.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
Job Qualifications:
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
- Data Visualization Engineer: 2 Years with Bachelors in relevant field of study; 1 year with Masters; or 4 additional years in lieu of a degree.
- Principal Data Visualization Engineer: 5 Years with Bachelors in relevant field of study; 3 Years with Masters; 0 Years with PhD or 4 additional years in lieu of a degree.
- U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance e and Ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP).
- Demonstrated Proficiency in Tableau.
- Familiarity with SQL Database Platforms e.g. Microsoft SQL Server/PostgreSQL.
Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
- Experience with Atlassian Tools (e.g. JIRA, Confluence).
- Experience with Agile Software Development.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Capable of peer reviewing and applying more advanced visualization concepts.
