Website Designer

Every day, our 10,000 employees do the can’t be done, solving the most daunting challenges facing our customers.   Peraton is seeking a talented self-motivated Web Designer to join an exciting, complex, mission-focused team of qualified diverse individuals in Reston, VA. The Web Designer on this team will possess digital graphic designer capabilities and skills to create both full-scale and micro-scale websites, including digital design element based on minimal creative brief input.  In this role you will develop, assess and communicate website usage and security policies and procedures. Additional responsibilities include web page layout, graphics, color schemes and infrastructure to maintain a cohesive website based on communications strategies and goals.

Basic Qualifications:  

• Bachelor degree and 2 years’ experience designing web-sites and web-based platforms to include integrating web-based sites with social media. Experience to include supporting the Military and/or IC. An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
• US Citizenship and active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
• Experience engaging with clients unaccustomed to the creative brief process, to identify target audience, desired impact and relevant unique audience challenges.
• Significant experience with Adobe After Effects.
• Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, CMS programs such as Wix or Word Press.
• Strong capability working in JavaScript and a minimum of some experience in Bootstrap.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Demonstrated ability as a self-starter, to integrate with diverse team, and comfortable leading the creative process and engaging multiple stakeholders to help formulate a creative approach.
• Experience/interest in illustration and/or animation.
• Any past experience designing for non-US audiences or designing in foreign languages.
• Experience providing web solutions that use many, if not all, of the following technologies: UNIX/Linux and Microsoft Windows servers and application servers; Ruby and Ruby-on-Rails; JQuery and JQuery DataTables; JavaScript; MySQL; Apache; Microsoft IIS; JSON.
• Experienced with website and application security measures/practices as well as security accreditation and testing.
