Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking an Associate Production Planning and Scheduler (Level 1), or Production Planning and Scheduler (Level 2)  to join our team to perform material and production planning duties on production as well as development/R&D efforts for complex systems, components and parts.

This position will be located in Ridgecrest, CA; relocation assistance is not available for this position.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Plans, prepares, issues and controls production schedules and coordinates with material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production requirements. Advises management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that materials and manufacturing order services are provided as needed. Confirms material supply and demands, prepares work orders or purchase requests for the production or purchase of components or parts based on a master production schedule and inventory requirements. Coordinates interdepartmental activity with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, traffic, etc.

This position may be filled as an Associate Production Planning and Scheduler (Level 1), or as a  Production Planning and Scheduler Level 2).  Basic qualifications for each level are listed below. #NGSkills

Basic Qualifications for Associate (Level 1) are:

  • High school diploma AND a minimum of 4 years of related experience.  Will consider a Bachelor’s degree and 0 years of related experience

  • Must have a current/active Secret clearance or higher that has been issued or adjudicated within the past five (5) years

  • Microsoft Office and Outlook proficient

  • Self-starter able to work with minimum supervision

  • Demonstrated problem solving skills

  • Proactive communicator

  • Detail-oriented

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain or related field

  • Proven ability to work multiple tasks with competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience with the manufacturing process of a Development program

  • Thorough knowledge of Material Requirements Planning

  • Experienced user of Deltek Costpoint

  • Experienced user of TipQA

  • High school diploma AND a minimum of 7 years of related experience. Will consider a Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of related experience

  • Must have a current/active Secret clearance or higher that has been issued or adjudicated within the past five (5) years

  • Thorough knowledge of Material Requirements Planning

  • Microsoft Office and Outlook proficient

  • Self-starter able to work with minimum supervision

  • Demonstrated problem solving skills

  • Proactive communicator

  • Detail-oriented


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain or related field

  • Proven ability to work multiple tasks with competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

Salary Range: 50200 - 75400
Salary Range 2: 61400 - 92000

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
