Northrop Grumman is in need of a Supply Chain Manufacturing Specialist to work at its Alleghany Ballistics Laboratory facility in Rocket Center, WV.  The position will be either a level 2 or level 3 position.

  • Identify raw material and component requirements for production from engineering and production specifications and schedules
  • Generate purchase requisitions to support future build needs  
  • Track material quality and initiate actions to extend or eliminate expiring material
  • Coordinate material movement between warehouse and production areas
  • Complete Material Line of Balance
  • Coordinate with purchasing, production, warehouse, and engineering personnel to ensure appropriate quantities of materials are always on hand
  • Supports and assists activities within multiple disciplines across the Supply Chain process
  • Able to plan and prioritize material resources to ensure Operations needs are met
  • Able to resolve complex issues in a creative, analytical manner
  • Has strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Can help identify risks and determine mitigation strategies and has a mindset of continual improvement

Position level to be hired depending upon education and experience.

Basic Qualifications for level 2:

  • Must have at least 7 years of experience.  Will consider those with a bachelors degree and at least 3 years of experience or those with a masters degree and 1 year of experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership, critical thinking and innovative behaviors in past projects, roles or experiences
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite
  • Must be a US citizen and able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance

  • Must have at least 10 years of experience.  Will consider those with a bachelors degree and at least 6 years of experience or those with a masters degree and 4 year of experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership, critical thinking and innovative behaviors in past projects, roles or experiences
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite
  • Must be a US citizen and able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional experience in a regulated industry; to include Aerospace & Defense, Insurance, Financial Services, Telecommunications
  • Deltek CostPoint experience


Salary Range: $58,800 USD - $88,200 USD
Salary Range 2: $72,400 USD - $108,600 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
