Northrop Grumman’s Enterprise Services organization is seeking an experienced Network Coomunications Analyst to join the Information Technology team at our Rocket Center, WV location. The selected candidate will design and plan network communications systems. Providing specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture, hardware and software selection, implementation techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements Additional Job Duties include: • Designs, plans & tests network communications systems.
• Complex Network trouble-shooting
• Tier III (Expert) user support and problem solving
• Active Directory administration (GPO, Permissions, domain adds/edits)
• Mange Wireless Access Points and inventory them
• Manage VoIP phones
• Hardware & Software support
• Server administration
• Perform patching, virus updates
• Provides off hour & on-call support when required (rotating weekly)
• Comfortable working in a large Manufacturing environment (varying noise, environmental climates and operating conditions)
 

Basic Qualifications: • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems / Networking / Computer Science or similar discipline
• Candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of relevant technical support experience, 3 years with a Master's degree
• Candidate must be available to work in the primary location of Rocket Center, WV.
• Proven experience resolving problems related to hardware, software, and networking
• Demonstrated ability to create, maintain and follow standard work documents and checklists
• Cisco Switch Configuration experience
• ISIlon (or equivalent) configuration and administration experience
• Converged Infrastructure setup, configuration and administration experience
• Experience in classified environments as an ISSO
• Solve problems with applications, desktops, and phones
• Proficiency working in a Microsoft operating system environment
• Unbox, stage, install, and configure new computer & networking components
• Experience using drive imaging tools
• Follow established processes
• Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Must be able to spend an entire work day on their feet (walking, standing, crawling under desks) Preferred Qualifications: • Proficiency working in a Linux operating system environment
• Palo Alto & Cisco Firewall configuration and experience
• Knowledge about IT security procedures
• Customer relationship skills - must have a passion for customer support
• Strong troubleshooting and problem solving abilities
• Ability to complete multiple simultaneous projects in a timely manner
• Work with minimal supervision in a fast paced, Manufacturing environment
• Work as part of a larger IT team
• Follow instructions
• Work and act in a safe manner
• Strong work ethic
• Ability to work well under pressure and to meet deadlines as needed
• Requires attention to detail
