Northrop Grumman Mission Systems sector is seeking iReturn Hardware Engineers to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals at our Rolling Meadows, IL location.

The qualified applicant will join a cohort of employees re-entering the workforce after a career break of at least two years. This cohort will receive special on-boarding designed to provide an effective re-entry into the workforce. iReturn℠ provides experienced professionals with a 12-week "returnship" to prepare for a full-time career in one of several fields at Northrop Grumman through training, professional development and networking opportunities. Qualified applicants will join a cohort of employees returning to the workforce after a 2+ career break for this "returnship" program that focuses on giving you a seamless transition back into the workforce. This cohort program will approximately run from August - November and prepare candidates for an effective re-entry into the workforce. Upon completion of the program, candidates will be eligible for full-time roles with the company.

The selected candidate will be welcomed into a team aligned to support either Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering.

The Hardware Engineering team at Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a candidate to join a growing community of engineering professionals in the greater Chicago region at the Rolling Meadows, IL site. Our engineering community is composed of incredible people with different abilities, diverse thinking and varied backgrounds who find professional fulfillment solving sophisticated global security problems and supporting the development of new and emerging technologies.

For Hardware Engineering, the qualified applicant will support full life-cycle product development on architectures ranging from radio frequency electronic warfare (RFEW), infrared countermeasures (IRCM) and imaging systems and real time embedded control systems. Assignments will be hardware oriented, and may involve variety of technical design, analysis and qualification test challenges. Electrical Engineering opportunities include signal conversion (including analog, RF, and digital circuit design), power conversion, and RF devices and packing (microwave). Mechanical Engineering opportunities include electronics and optics packaging and environmental qualification testing.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field

4+ years of professional experience and a current career break of at least two years.

Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

Working knowledge in design, either in RF and/or mixed signal electronics or digital electronics design, or mechanical design of electronics packaging.

Salary Range: $75,100 USD - $125,100 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
