Senior Principal Software Configuration Management Analyst

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Senior Principal Software Configuration Analyst to be responsible for Configuration Management for our Radio Frequency Electronic Warfare (RFEW), Infrared Counter Measures (IRCM) and Advanced Target & Surveillance (ATS) Systems.

As a Senior Principal Software Configuration Analyst, the candidate will create and enhance processes such as Configuration Management Plans, design operational workflows for teams to use, administer various Configuration Management tools, facilitate change management and Change Control Boards, coordinate and conduct or enable builds for test and delivery, and triage Configuration Management pipeline failures.  An understanding of Software Configuration Management (SCM) principles, concepts, industry practices and standards is required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of 9 years of relevant professional work experience OR Master's degree and minimum 7 year of relevant professional work experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in CS, CE, ECE or comparable Engineering discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with software Configuration Management
  • Strong understanding of SCM principles, concepts, industry practices and standards is required
  • Experience with Release Management of software and other products
  • Experience with software Configuration Management on a large scale
  • Experience with Git & GitHub or Bitbucket Server
  • Experience with scripting languages such as: Python, Javascript, Perl, Ruby, Unix/DOS shell scripts.
  • US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain Security Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Agile, Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, DevOps, automation, and Configuration Management under those methods
  • Knowledge of CMMI and how to design a compliant Configuration Management system
  • Knowledge of cloud based development environments
  • Experience with SCM concepts applied to FPGA design
  • Tools experience with Jenkins, Agile Central (Rally), JIRA, Coverity, Nexus, and SharePoint
  • Differentiating characteristics include: demonstrated leadership and teamwork capability, interpersonal communication skills and activities (professional/community/extracurricular) and an enthusiastic go getter attitude
  • US Citizenship with active Secret or Top-secret clearance

Salary Range: $120,000 USD - $180,000 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
