Job Description:

The Rolling Meadows Product Support (Logistics) Team has a challenging opportunity for a driven, detail oriented, degreed professional. We need additional team members with intellectual curiosity, who share their ideas, bring their whole self to work, and have the drive to continue expanding their knowledge & skills in our supportive and collaborative culture.

In this role, the person will both provide support for, and in some cases operate as, an Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead responsible for chairing an DMS IPT meeting and the coordinated DMS efforts of Buyers, Supply Chain, Standards & Components, and Product Follow. They will be responsible for identification, investigation and implementation of DMS resolutions to ensure continued product line viability and minimize life-cycle costs. Further, IPT Leads also maintain and brief customers, internal Program Office (PMO), and Logistics Program Managers (LPMs) on all aspects of the obsolescence program as well as metrics including: issue counts, cost avoided, LTB inventory, status of issues in work, and the status of all associated cost accounts.

Responsibilities include:

  • Collection of information from multiple internal and external sources (customer, suppliers, internal, SAP, etc).
  • Expertise in understanding Bills of Material (BOM), Drawings, and Parts Lists, and the ability to manipulate this data in Microsoft Office for the preparation of CDRLs.
  • Analysis of component level data sheets, life cycle data, and YTEOL data to identify and validate obsolescence issues.
  • Coordination and collaboration across internal functional organizations including Program Office, Systems Engineering, Product Support Engineering, Operations, Depot, Supply Chain, and Mission Assurance.
  • Supporting on-phone and in-person briefings and presentations to small and large audiences
  • Interacting with several Integrated Product Team (IPT) leads, customers and suppliers in person, through correspondence, and in group meetings
  • Frequent interaction with PMO and briefing to customers – strong presentation skills a must.
  • Assist in preparation of SOWs for DMSMS requirements, and develop BOEs. Responsible for development of subcontractor SOWs for DMS management. Responsible for the preparation of CDRLs for DMSMS reporting, and contracts letters for notification.
  • Financial management skills and understanding of SAP and MRO in order to prepare Business Case Analysis for Life of Type Buys (LTBs) vs. redesign decisions, to monitor material usage, and to identify usage requirements in support of LTBs.
  • Management and reporting upon obsolescent part inventory utilizing: SAP, MRO, in-house macros, advanced XL skills, and supplier contact.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sciences, Technical or related Engineering Degree with a minimum of 1 years of transferable experience or Master’s degree in Sciences, Technical or related Engineering Degree with 0+ years of related experience
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and communicate with cross-functional teams internally and with customers externally
  • U.S Citizen, with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Skill with SAP, ISE, Teamcenter and MRO
  • Experience with Defense Logistics/Operations/Supply Chain
  • Obsolescence management experience.

Salary Range: $71,500 USD - $107,300 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
