Northrop Grumman offers an exciting career opportunity in our Operations team within the Mission Systems sector at our Rolling Meadows, IL facility. The Project Management 4 position oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between Planning, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality.

This position is an individual contributor, non-manager, role with no direct reports.

Specific Responsibilities will include:
• The Project Management 4 position will be the primary interface with the Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, and Mission Assurance on all aspects of assigned project
• Responsible for managing schedules and execution of projects, while monitoring and addressing all cost, schedule, and quality metrics
• Lead multifunctional teams, including Operations functional support organizations, to ensure all program and manufacturing goals and objectives are met
• Interact with internal and external customers on matters requiring coordination between organizations across multiple facilities

• Analyze labor, manufacturing and personnel capacity, and risk / opportunity to meet productivity, quality, and customer-satisfaction goals and objectives

• Advise management of the status of work in progress, material availability and potential production constraints

• Develop solutions for complex manufacturing and schedule challenges

The selected candidate, using strong communication and leadership skills, should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, diverse assignments, and collaborative/team settings across all levels.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 6 years of experience in project management OR 10 years of work experience in project management in lieu of bachelor's degree OR a Master’s Degree and 4 years of relevant experience

  • Demonstrated experience working on teams and projects in a leadership capacity

  • Demonstrated proficiency in the Microsoft Office Excel (including pivot tables, V-Look up's)

  • Ability to communicate, both written and verbal, with several layers of coworkers and management

  • Experience in a multi-disciplined manufacturing environment

  • Experience supporting the manufacturing discipline

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in project management, business administration or engineering discipline with 4 years of project management relevant experience

  • General knowledge of manufacturing
  • Knowledge of Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP), production planning, and material management
  • Prior experience with Data Analysis, Data Modeling, Process Improvement
  • Six Sigma Certification Green Belt certification
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

MANUMS


Salary Range: $99,200 USD - $148,800 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
