Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Navigation Targeting and Survivability (NT&S) division is seeking a Project Manager to support our business operations team as an individual contributor. The individual will be responsible for leading strategic initiatives, focusing on the areas of cost, schedule and quality through advanced analytics and demonstrated continuous improvement techniques. This individual will use proven business acumen and expertise in managing complex projects to provide project leadership on efforts required for the success of the division.  The Project Manager will report to the Director, Business Operations.  The incumbent will interact regularly with NT&S Executive Staff and supporting functional leadership. Specific duties will include:

  • Capital Planning & Execution
    • Interface with Business Units on capital asset project execution, analysis, and risk mitigation in support Division strategies and objectives.
    • Lead the input and output of Division data in the Fast Track Capital Planning tool including reporting requirements for Division status meetings, monthly forecasts and Capital Reviews. 
    • Manage capital planning activities for long-term strategic objectives ensuring capital requirements and risks are identified early in the planning process.
    • Ensure effective automated metrics are in place to measure Division and project level performance.
    • Lead the interface with Facilities, Operations, Engineering and Enterprise Services functional groups with the 5-year capital planning process to ensure coordination and alignment with Division priorities.
    • Improve operational efficiency of capital project start-up, forecasting, and execution by creation of improved data automation and visualization.
    • Division POC for DTO initiatives affecting capital tools and processes.
  • Facilities Planning  
    • Provide guidance and coordination of investment requirements for facility space planning and execution activities. This will include partnering with facilities, division and functional leadership teams on all aspects of capital investment in support of the division strategy.
    • Support Future of Work initiatives.
  • Events/Special Projects
    • Provide monthly dashboard updates and analysis for VP/GM.
    • Drive support for Division-wide capital project start up and execution initiatives.
    • Lead ad-hoc projects and cross-functional teams focused on site and division performance optimization.
    • Manage division innovation programs from design and execution to translating feedback into actionable implementation.
    • Help organize and plan Division events including Division Day, Site visits, Leadership Webcasts and other activities as needed. 
    • Initiate, create, collect, organize and analyze information on a wide variety of subjects (i.e. IPRS, data calls, financial and non-financial metrics etc.) in support of division events and projects.
    • Support additional special projects and activities as needed.

* This position offers hybrid flexibility for remote work.

Required Qualifications:

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree and 6 years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree and 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks within critical deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills, as well as project management, analytical, planning and presentation skills are required.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and foster effective relationships with others.
  • Demonstrated ability to respect confidentiality and safeguard sensitive information.
  • Propensity to “go figure it out” and act with speed.
  •  Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Ability to obtain a secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration 
  • PMI Certification
  • Data analytics experience using tools such as Tableau
  • Experience with agile tools such as Jira and Confluence
  • High-energy strategic thinker with demonstrated ability to operate and communicate at both a strategic and a hands-on level as needed.
  • Leader with excellent judgment and capable of autonomous decision making.

Salary Range: $80,100 USD - $120,100 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
