Northrop Grumman is currently seeking a HR Business Partner Manager 2 to provide leadership within our Strategic Deterrent Systems Division in Roy, Utah. This role is the HR Operations lead, responsible for managing all Division HR projects and providing business partner support to the Division staff organizations and functions. As a HR Manager you will partner with the Division HR Director to drive strategic human capital plans that support sector and enterprise goals, providing HR guidance and counsel to leaders and managers regarding succession planning and talent development, reward and recognition, compensation, organization effectiveness, performance management, staffing and employee relations. Specific duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • Establish a solid understanding of the business, build and expand relationships with program leadership teams, and create close partnerships across HR centers of excellence (COE's)

  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities within the organization and develop solutions in partnership with Division staff and key stakeholders

  • Provide business insight through data analytics, research and benchmarking to inform and recommend solutions to enable business growth

  • Lead all HR team projects utilizing Agile methodology - ensure accountability and completion

  • Play a key change leadership role in the company's transformation by reinforcing a culture of growth and innovation

  • Leadership Development-focused on comprehensive succession planning and strategic leadership movement. Partner with business leaders to build leadership depth to support the development and succession planning process

  • Lead a team of HR Business Partners

  • Serve as the HR Business Partner to a small group of Division customers (~100 employees)

  • Represent the HR function with the Division Executive leadership team as needed in partnership with or lieu of the Division HR Director

This position directly support senior leaders through the VP level and requires the ability to listen, communicate, collaborate, and influence effectively across levels and functions. This role requires strong project management skills - with the ability to set and maintain accountability to execution schedules and commitments. The role is best suited for someone who is energized by and adept at navigating ambiguous cultural and business sensitivities to drive some stability and clarity, and champion diversity and inclusion, performance, and employee engagement. This position will have direct reports and require travel on occasional basis to support a geographically dispersed client group.

Basic Qualifications:

- Must have a bachelor’s degree in HR or related field, and 6 years of applicable experience in HR, project management, compensation, talent acquisition or organizational effectiveness

- Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience leading a project and/or driving performance against schedule

- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Top Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

- Active Top Secret clearance

-Demonstrated experience with Agile; experience using JIRA

- Experience leading through a program or project start-up phase to demonstrate processes and procedures

- Demonstrated experience supporting and influencing senior executives


Salary Range: 100300 - 150500

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
