Northrop Grumman's Sentinel Program has an opening for an Administrative Assistant 4  to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Roy, UT.

The selected candidate will provide administrative support to Sentinel Program Leadership Team inclusive of multiple VP roles. The selected candidate will be highly motivated, collaborative, detail orientated, assertive as necessary, and friendly in the performance of the Administrative Assistant role. Candidate will performs variety of activities in support of functional areas such as finance, purchasing, or human resources or for a specific project/business/technical unit. Must be able to professionally and effectively communicate both written/verbally with internal and external representatives of all levels; demonstrating tact, diplomacy, discretion and judgment when conveying and gathering and sharing relevant information. Gathers, collects, records, tracks and verifies data and information from multiple sources. Candidate will compile, review and analyze data. Will use software for functional areas, to compile and generate reports, statistics, timelines, tables, graphs, correspondence and presentations. May design processes to enhance work flow. Will Provide data and information to others on functional unit processes and procedures.

Essential Responsibilities include, but not limited to the following: 

  • Serves as a focal point for the organization and communicates with internal and external customers and executives, professionally representing the corporation and organization. 

  • Performs office functions such as calendar management, arranging meetings/conferences, preparing materials, and setting up for meetings.

  • Answers phone calls and makes proper referrals.

  • Receives, refers, or answers mail. 

  • Assists in maintaining the organization's collaboration electronic sites, and department and programmatic folders. 

  • Follows up on open actions to ensure deadlines are met, and gathers, compiles, and reports on information relevant to supervisor’s assignments. 

  • Makes domestic travel arrangements and prepares expense reports for team members.

  • Assists in planning and execution of events and activities of major organization initiatives and reviews. 

  • Operates independently to meet requirements of site leadership team and offers expertise to assist other functions within the organization. 

  • Provides operational support for special projects.

  • Researches and obtains information, helps plan and ensure follow-through of assigned tasks.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80, but may change to a 5/40 schedule or require additional hours based on business need. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.   

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent and 6 years additional education and/or related experience.

  • Executive presence and ability to work with executive level managers and customers. 

  • Significant meeting and event support required.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook).

  • Experience with Concur or similar travel/expense application.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret clearance and program clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced use of the Microsoft Office Suite and other software productivity tools.

  • Demonstrated experience working with minimal supervision while exercising good judgment, demonstrating flexibility and agility, prioritizing multiple tasks with competing deadlines, managing schedule conflicts and providing excellent follow through.

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance.

  • Active SAP Clearance.

Salary Range: $55,100 USD - $91,800 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
