Northrop Grumman's Strategic Deterrent Division (SDSD) is seeking an Earned Value (EVMS) Manager 1 located in Roy Utah at the Beautiful New Northrop Grumman Roy Innovation Center supporting the Sentinel and other Programs. As part of the Division EVM support team this EVMS Manager 1 will work with the Division EVM Manager and assist them with developing and managing the Division EV Team. The SDSD EV Manager 1 will report directly to the NG Strategic Deterrent EVM Manager and assist them in their role as trusted partners with the Division programs and their Business Management Teams. The Division EV Team is responsible for ensuring EV compliance and implementation of the EV guidelines as defined in the NG EVMS System Description.

This EV Manager 1 will be responsible to manage selected surveillance events including reviewing DECM metric analysis results with Strategic Deterrent programs and developing action plans for them. This role also includes directing individuals in compliant implementation of Earned Value rules and processes, reviewing program artifacts and analysis of program reporting.

This role requires the candidate to have or be able to secure an active Department of Defense (DoD) Top Secret (TS) and/or eligibility to acquire a Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (SCI) Clearance.

Responsibilities include: 

  • Provide EVMS training activities for all appropriate personnel including CAMs
  • Analyze program data and artifacts against the corporate compliance standard
  • Review and analyze program schedules and scheduling practices
  • Review integration integrity of program cost and schedule data
  • Assist in EVM compliant program set up and start-up
  • Analyze and review EVMS-DECM Metrics and provide analysis and guidance to programs
  • Managing aspects of the Division Internal Surveillance Program
  • Support of IBRs and EVMS compliance reviews of subcontractors
  • Provide guidance on closure of any non-compliant issues
  • Provide mentoring for program cost and schedule analysts on compliant implementation of EVM practices
  • Analyze program plans to ensure program requirements are aligned with EVM requirements
  • Support Division EV team meetings and support program EV collaboration meetings

Basic Qualifications:

  • An active DoD TS and/or SCI Clearance or ability to secure one
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university with 6+ years of a combination Business, Finance, or related field experience that includes program cost control and planning OR a master’s degree from an accredited university with 4+ years of a combination in Business, Finance, or related experience
  • Extensive working knowledge of program management including EVMS Systems, and cost and schedule management
  • Experience in auditing compliance including data review and analysis
  • Expert proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Cobra Experience
  • Primavera Scheduling
  • Current or previous experience working with restricted customers

Salary Range: $108,700 USD - $163,100 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
