The Communications function at Northrop Grumman’s newest campus and division in Roy , Utah is seeking a highly skilled communications professional to join our team in implementing dynamic communications practices, including media strategy, digital communications, and special events.

The successful candidate has demonstrated skill in developing strategic communications plans as well as the coordination, development and/or execution of content creation for scripts, digital, print, and other materials.

This position is located in Roy, UT. May be able to move to a hybrid schedule with part-time telecommuting based on program requirements and business needs.

More about the job:

  • You’ll report to the Communications Manager and join a team tasked with business, crisis and executive communications, editorial and content generation, and advocacy.

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills – you’ll be interacting with partner organizations, core teams, and customer contacts in support of the Strategic Deterrent Systems.

  • You’ll write, draft, edit and lead the design of promotional and collateral materials, conference papers, social media posts, speeches, business proposals, communications and case studies.

  • You’ll assist in the planning and execution of internal and external events.

  • A team player with a strong drive for success, an upbeat attitude, and the confidence to share new ideas to shape exciting internal and external events.

  • Detail-oriented, with organizational strengths and adherence to time management and deadlines.

  • Research in compiling and composing clip reports summarizing legislative conversations, influencer articles, interviews, news reports, press releases and video segments.

  • Understanding of analytical systems designed to track sentiment on a given topic.

  • Innovative approach to enhancing print and web-based communications materials.

  • Flexibility when work and travel is required.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university with six (6) years of experience successfully developing and deploying communications practices or 4 (fours) years of communications experience with Master-level degree from an accredited university.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Clear and concise writing and speaking skills.

  • Basic experience organizing corporate tours, group activities, dining, and social gatherings and tradeshows.

  • Physical strength to package, lift and transport small promotional items.

Salary Range: $72,400 USD - $108,600 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
