Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking an Systems Engineering Technical Lead Manager 3. This position will be located in Roy, Utah or Huntsville, AL and will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. Learn more about the GBSD program here.  Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force’s sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure.

What you will get to do:

This role will lead a team of Support Equipment Systems Engineers who will continue to mature the Systems Engineering baseline through Critical Design Review and beyond. The role includes ownership of the technical baseline of the Interface Definition and Technical baseline of the Support Segment and AVE and C&L Support Equipment. The individual will be responsible for ensuring the execution and quality of the development of these products in addition to coordination with the Support Chief Engineer and System Engineering to mature the Allocated Baseline. The individual will inform integration and test activities to validate key subsystem. The individual must be capable of leading a team in a highly dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities. This position reports directly to the Support SE&I Lead.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors in Science in a STEM field and at least 10 years of related systems engineering experience or MS with 8 years.
  • Active Secret clearance adjudicated within the last 6 years with the ability to obtain SAP.
  • 2 years of experience with requirements and architecture development.
  • 2 years of experience in development of systems engineering review product and team integration
  • 3 years of experience in a formal management role to include performance reviews for direct reports.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Mature requirements definition experience including definition of verification plans
  • Familiarity or experience with MagicDraw / Cameo EA
  • Experience developing ICDs and defining interfaces in an MBSE environment
  • Experience working in an Agile team or even leading a scrum team

Salary Range: $147,700 USD - $233,200 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
