Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Principal/Design Quality Assurance Engineer.  This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrence (GBSD) program.  This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

What Youll Get To Do: 

Defines and monitors mission assurance program specifications and processes to ensure mission success of programs. Performs or assures quality, risk management, safety, reliability and maintainability of program achievements, subcontractors, and suppliers in accordance with contractual requirements. Assesses program performance and risks, and determines resources to ensure mission assurance.

•    Analyze hardware, equipment, and systems for manufacturability, maintainability, and producibility
•    Recommend design changes for cost improvement
•    Validate 3D Models 
•    Participate in board meetings as a Mission Assurance / Design Assurance representative for design buy-off
•    Preparation and presentation of reports, briefings, design documents (drawings and specifications) and interface with internal and external customers.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.  

Youll Bring These Qualifications:

Engineer Mission Assurance

•   2 Years with Bachelors in Science; 0 Years with Masters. An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

•    Active Secret Clearance or higher with an adjudication date within the last 6 years

•    Experience with design development and sustainment spanning the full life cycle
•    Experience in Manufacturing or Inspection
•    Root Cause and Corrective Action Experience (FRACAS)
•    Proficiency in performing tolerance and interference analyses 
 

Principal Engineer Mission Assurance

•   5 Years with Bachelors in Science; 3 Years with Masters; 0 Years with PhD. An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

•    Active Secret Clearance or higher with an adjudication date within the last 6 years

•    Experience with design development and sustainment spanning the full life cycle
•    Experience in Manufacturing or Inspection
•    Root Cause and Corrective Action Experience (FRACAS)
•    Proficiency in performing tolerance and interference analyses

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

- Bachelors of Science degree or higher in a related STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline

- US Citizenship with an Active Top-Secret Clearance (awarded within the past 6 years)

•    Experience in ICBMs or Aerospace programs
•    Experience with Siemens NX, Teamcenter and DOORS
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•    Ability to collaborate in a team environment.
•    Ability to interface at all levels of leadership.
•    Ability to prioritize and adjust tasks to accomplish project results.
•    Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and/or accomplish them simultaneously.
•    Active Top Secret Clearance

Salary Range: $64,600 USD - $119,500 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
