Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Power and Distribution Program Manager 3. This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Sentinel (GBSD) program. Learn more about the Sentinel program here.  Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force’s sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure.

What you will get to do:

As a Department Manager reporting to the GN&C Director, the candidate will be responsible for leading the development and manufacturing efforts of the Power and Distribution system. The candidate will also be responsible for Cost Account Management over product area and functional management of team. This role will manage over a supplier.

• Perform resource planning and staffing to meet program demands.
• Participate in program planning and business management activities which will include required CAM reporting.
• Promote team member development including skills training.
• Be an advocate for the career advancement of your team by promoting knowledge sharing and mentor / protégé relationships.
• Execute performance management, including employee goal setting, feedback solicitation, performance discussions, compensation planning, and issue resolution.
• Lead efforts to develop and deliver contractual products for the product area.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in STEM - Science, Technology, Engineering, Math or related engineering discipline and 8 years of progressive engineering experience
• At least 3 years’ experience in a formal management position to include performance reviews for direct reports.
• Must be a US Citizen with current Active Secret Security Clearance adjudicated within the last 6 years.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in electrical engineering or related STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline with 6+ years of experience in engineering
• Previous experience with spacecraft and/or payload electrical design integration, cable & harness, and electrical power subsystem
• Department of Defense Top Secret level with a background investigation date within 6 years.

Salary Range: $147,700 USD - $221,500 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
