Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a RVAM – Senior Principal Specialty Testing Engineer.  This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Sentinel – Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program.  This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

What Youll Get To Do: 

This position will be responsible for supporting and leading the development of GBSD specialty ground test procedures for the flight and ground test team.  

This position will lead the team designing   and developing the ground test special testing requirements. The candidate will help define the testing   architecture, and key capabilities and performance requirements defining the various different testing methods and models support the deployment of the GBSD program. The candidate will define design and technology maturity constraints of the system in accordance with customer specifications and range certification requirements outlined in 91-710.  The candidate will develop thorough definition of system in the CAMEO model, write the test plans, ensure plans meet supporting IPT’s deliverables/requirements and meet customer requirements.


Key Responsibilities: 

•    Serves as the management liaison to program management, customers, operations, and other functional groups.
•    Manages risks, change requests and opportunities for all engineering scope within the system discipline.
•    Collaborates with all functional organizations to resolve CAMEO conflicts with a multiple disciplined engineering community.
•    Support the development of test plans and test architecture for strategic missile end-to-end and flight tests and Lab infrastructure
•    Evaluate requirements and develop test concept of operations
•    Support the development of pre-flight test missile requirement verification plans and lab testing
•    Stand up system test facilities and work closely with site stakeholders (Safety, Security, Product Teams)

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.  

Youll Bring These Qualifications:

•    Bachelor’s and 9+ years of related experience; or a Master’s and 7+ years of related experience; or a PhD and 4+ years of related experience.  An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

•    US Citizenship with an Active Secret Clearance or higher (awarded within the past 6 years) with the ability to obtain and retain Special Program access clearance within 365 days from submission.

•    Demonstrated experience with CAMEO OR Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)  experience

•    Demonstrated experience using DOORS Requirements Management Database.

•    Demonstrated experience with specialty testing with Minute Man III or comparable missile program.

•    Demonstrated experience developing flight or ground based missile test plans in support of a flight test program. 

•    Demonstrated experience with many types of instrumentation, collection systems and design for test
 

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

- US Citizenship with an Active Top-Secret Clearance or higher (awarded within the past 6 years)

•    Experience leading a team of diverse team members integrated ground based computer systems. 
•    Experience with Agile
•    Previous ICBM Experience is a plus.
•    Knowledge and experience with 91-710 and range certification safety requirements. 
•    Experience designing, developing, building, testing and maintaining network and computing infrastructure
•    Project Management, risk and opportunities, and Change Request Experience

Salary Range: $97,800 USD - $148,100 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
