Northrop Grumman’s Space Systems sector is looking for a motivated Missile Support System Manager 1 to lead Missile Support System team for the Sentinel (GBSD) Command and Launch division in Roy, UT.

The primary objective of this role is to manage, influence, and be accountable for the day-to-day performance of the US Government statement of work that includes 1) management of Northrop Grumman personnel and subcontracts through increasing design maturation stages and established program milestones, and 2) product development and hardware deliveries to support incremental system integration & test activities. The successful candidate will also have experience leading direct reports and is comfortable with collaborating across multiple internal and external stakeholders at all leadership levels that include (but are not limited to): Program Management, Business Management, Systems Engineering, System Test, Global Supply Chain, Operations, Production, other Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), and personnel from the customer community in order to achieve organizational goals.

Primary responsibilities are the oversight of cost, schedule, and technical performance of the following scope of work:

-    Establishing a program baseline and monitoring adherence to staffing plans, program schedules, hardware deliveries, and cost targets, as well as reporting and adjudicating variances to the baseline
-    Proactively identifying technical issues and working across multiple stakeholders, from the government customer to hardware and service suppliers, to implement solutions and corrective actions
-    Demonstrated ability to lead working groups and technical interchange meetings
-    Preparing and reviewing proposals, statements of work (SOWs), and technical specifications
-    Reviewing, providing feedback for, and approving documents that support incremental design maturation objectives and formal design reviews
-    Implementing the functional performance management and goal setting process for all direct reports to ensure that team members have accountability for performance
-    % Travel: >10%

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) with a minimum of 5 years engineering and product development experience and 1 year of experience leading projects or cross functional teams
- 1 year experience with the Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and associated reporting processes
-1 year of experience in developing and delivering briefings to senior leadership
- 1 year of experience in planning, organizing, staffing, reporting, identifying / managing risk, and supporting multiple program phases
- Current DoD Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain DoD Top Secret Clearance and Special Access Program (SAP) access

Preferred Qualifications:
-    Experience on GBSD or Minuteman III programs

- Excellent at written and oral communications

- Must be able to work independently, function in a dynamic environment, and be flexible to changing direction
- Strong ability to establish, develop, and maintain interpersonal relationships

- 3 years leading projects of cross functional teams
- Experience with steel and aluminum structures, mechanisms, integrated systems, proficiency with industry design and analysis software tools.
-- CAM certified in formal DoD EVMS 
- Formal systems engineering experience on a DoD program or in the aerospace industry
-10 years of technical, cost, and functional management experience
- Master’s degree in a STEM discipline
-  DoD Top Secret Clearance and current Special Access Program (SAP) access

Salary Range: $93,800 USD - $140,800 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
